Investigation of Primary School Music Education Repertoire in Terms of Music Terminology

The aim of this study was to conduct a terminological examination the songs and folk in primary school Music course books through musical notes. Based on statement that music theory, musicality aesthetics should be offered children, notes coursebooks were examined under titles Tempo, Break Pause, Dynamics, Articulation, Expression, Repetition codas. Case method, one qualitative research designs, adopted study. A total 126 included 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th Grade published by Ministry National Education 2018-2019 investigated. Document analysis used data analysis. One book for 1stGrade (21 works), two different 2ndGrade course, 2018 works) other 2019 (22 3rdGrade course,both 18 4thGrade course(23 distributed.2nd coursebooks, which had editions, differed according region schools. results showed terms symbols tempo, breaks, articulation, expression, ornaments, accent, repeat, form basis music, not sufficiently, expressions intended taught reinforced international terminology followed. In addition, it found although presented they explicitly shown students, even teachers directed videos instead using end-of-unit evaluations did consist questions related terminology, no definition glossary section at end coursebooks. As result, concluded cannot go beyond activity planning due lack teaching theory mistakes works can disrupt education.
